RCCAOI AGM 2009

E-mail Print PDF

The main rule changes for our class at Sunday's Agm were:

There will be 6 National Rounds with best 4 results to count (ties to be decided within your best 4 rounds).

Drivers will be seeded for qualifying based on last years results, a driver that didn't compete in previous year may be reseeded after 1st round if necessary.

Personal Transponders to be fitted to each car entering a National Round, each competitor responsible for operation of PT & checking correct PT number is entered into race computer at check-in,

Penalties will be given for cutting the track during the race or in warm-up laps.

During finals no mechanic to leave the start line once the countdown has started, if car stalls wait for race to start then restart car from pit-lane after all cars have passed.

Tuned pipes list for Ireland will follow a year behind Efra (but exhausts on any new Efra list may also be used) ie Exhausts we purchased for 2009 season will also be legal in 2010. Truggies will now also have to comply with these exhaust rules.

The exact wording and more minor changes will be made available in the new rulebook for the 2010 season

Pete Wells was elected as 1/8th off-road section representative in the National Association.

Thanks to the lads that travelled to Dublin to represent our club at this meeting, it was greatly appreciated.
