Would there be enough interest in setting up an online competition on Virtual RC (www.virtualrc.com) for club members ?

 If you haven't seen this software before it's worthwhile taking a look at it. It's a free download and allows you to race 1:10 ad 1:8 onroad cars at a selection of tracks. As far as I know it can be controlled with almost any usb controller (although i've not tried it),keyboard or you can buy a usb dongle that connects to your receiver and allows you to use your own transmitter.

I would be interested, great software, vrc just emailed to say i could download extra tracks free for their winter competitions which is a great bonus, if you have the software then run vrc updater and you might get these extra tracks Wink

Kevin has set up a Virtual Rc Club, after browsing to www.virtualrc.com and logging in click on clubs and select Ireland, Choose Galway Model Car Club and join-up

There is a competition running from now until Christmas, 5 runs per week for 4 weeks, for ourselves to compete against each other, 

The racing simulator doesn't work on all Computers so try before you buy, there's quite a good download trial package free for the next 5 weeks consisting of 4 free tracks, good luck and happy racing!

Hi Guys,

Virtual RC have now December promotion. I got a starter pack with USB adaptor and game for $25 (was $40). If somebody was not sure, this is a good ocasion to get a bargain. Our team will grow.

Thanks for that Piotr,  We've had a good 1st week of virtual rc racing and (banter by email) so now's your chance to try, download trial first though to check your computer will run it
